Description

The flower of flowers has a sweet fragrance with the best oil coming from flowers picked in the summer and early in the morning. The flowers can be yellow pink or mauve. The heady and romantic fragrance of Ylang Ylang has been considered for many years to have aphrodisiac qualities and in Indonesia the petals of the flowers were spread on the beds of newly married couples. In the Philippines, its flowers, together with the flowers of the sampaguita, are strung into a necklace and worn by women and used to adorn religious images. Ylang Ylang is used widely in aromatherapy but this is the fragrance which is created synthetically.
The fragrance of ylang-ylang is rich, deep and sensual with hints of jasmine and neroli. This incense is made in Thailand and fragranced in the UK to a high standard. The incense is then hand crafted in natural look brown paper.
