The name was taken from the fact that the fruit was traditionally offered to the mandarins as gifts
All three fruits can be found growing on small evergreen trees in warm climates Sources: These fruits are native to southern China and the Far East
They are produced mainly in Italy, Spain, Algeria, Cyprus, Greece, the Middle East and Brazil
The tangerine is also widely produced in Texas, Florida, California and Guinea
Useful for: These citrus fruits have many benefits in common and have been regarded as a very safe remedy for treating digestive problems
It can be used to good effect to aid the nervous system as well as having many of the benefits of citrus fruits in skin care
Skin Care: These oils can be mixed with any other citrus oils to good effect and diluted in base oil
They will then effectively treat acne, congested and oily skin, scars, spots, stretch marks and to tone a tired and lifeless complexion
Digestive System
Any of these oils can be diluted and used to massage the stomach area
It can help to strengthen the digestive function and liver and is very safe to use both for children and the elderly
Nervous System: They can be used to help with insomnia, nervous tension and restlessness and a few drops in a bath can pep up the spirits
General: Like so many of the citrus oils they are widely used by the cosmetic industry
Also they work well as burning oils when combined with others such as Cinnamon or Nutmeg especially during the cold winter months
Mixing oils: Any of these oils can be combined to good effect with Neroli, Nutmeg, Cinnamon or Clove.
