Origin: The Mandarin family probably originated in China and has been known in that country since ancient times.The name was taken from the fact that the fruit was traditionally offered to the mandarins as gifts. All three fruits can be found growing on small evergreen trees in warm climates.
Sources: These fruits are native to southern China and the Far East. They are produced mainly in Italy, Spain, Algeria, Cyprus, Greece, the Middle East and Brazil
Skin Care: Mandarin can be mixed with any other citrus oils to good effect and diluted in base oil. It can effectively treat acne, congested and oily skin, scars, spots, stretch marks and to tone a tired and lifeless complexion
Digestive System: Mandarin can be diluted and used to massage the stomach area to help to strengthen the digestive function and liver and is very safe to use both for children and the elderly.
Nervous System: Mandarin can be used to help with insomnia, nervous tension and restlessness and a few drops in a bath can pep you up. Try burning Mandarin combined with oils such as Cinnamon or Nutmeg during the cold winter months for a lovely festive scent and also to uplift and warm the spirits.
Mixing oils: Mandarin works well with neroli, nutmeg, cinnamon or clove.
