Emu oil is an oil made from the Emu. It has been used for over 1000 years by the Australian aborigines in the treatment of burns, cut wounds, bruises and as a pain reliever for bone muscle and joints disorders. In Australia Dr Hobday stated that from clinical experience with Emu Oil, it becomes obvious that its two major actions were its anti-inflammatory properties and its ability to penetrate the skin.

Emu oil has been shown in studies to aid in reducing scar formation in healed burned wounds, muscle sprain and arthritis, due to its strong anti-inflammatory properties.  Laboratory experiments and analysis of Emu Oil both in Australia and in the US have confirmed that Emu Oil has the ability to reduce inflammation of the joints.

The high presence of oleic acid in the Emu Oil may be one of the reasons that it is able to penetrate the skin to such a degree and at the same time be able to carry active compounds through the skin where they can have an effect on the body.

This Emu oil is mixed with Black Pepper and Eucalyptus essential oils in a cream base. Always read the warning before use.
