Origin: This is a herb with a long history of use; the seeds were found in the ancient Egyptian tomb of Rameses 11. The seeds were widely used as a garnish and domestic spice.
Sources: It is native to Europe and western Asia although most of the oil is produced in Russia, Yugoslavia and Romania.
Circulation, muscles and joints: It can help with arthritis, gout, muscular aches and pains, poor circulation, rheumatism and stiffness of the joints.
Immune system: This oil helps with colds, flu, infections and measles.
Nervous System: Coriander can help with nervous exhaustion, neuralgia and migraines.
Digestive System: Probably the most common use of coriander is associated with the appetite and because of its stimulating action on the appetite it has been used in the treatment of anorexia nervosa. Coriander Seed is useful in helping other stomach disorders such as colic, diarrhoea, nausea, flatulence and stomach spasm.
Mixing Oils: It blends well with Clary Sage, Bergamot, Jasmine, Neroli, Petitgrain, Citronella, Sandalwood, Cypress, Pine, Ginger and Cinnamon
