Origin: The West Indian bay tree is often grown in groves together with the allspice or pimento bush then the fruits of both are dried and powdered for the preparation of the household spice "allspice"

Sources: It is native to the West Indies particularly Dominica where the essential oil is produced.

Circulation, Muscles and Joints : This oil is good for muscular and articular aches and pains, neuralgia, poor circulation, rheumatism, sprains and strains

Skin Care: One of its best uses is as a scalp stimulant and it can help with many hair conditions. Use it as a hair rinse for treating dandruff, greasy or lifeless hair and promoting growth

Immune system: It can be used to help colds, flu and infectious diseases

Mixing Oils: It blends well with Rosemary, Lavender, Geranium, Ylang Ylang, citrus and spice oils
