Description

Origin: Palmarosa is a scented grass from the same family as Lemongrasse and Citronella. It is native to the Indian sub-continent, and is thought of as one of nature’s copycats because it contains a number of elements found in rarer and more expensive plants. Palmarosa is extensively used in cosmetics as a fragrance component, especially in soaps due to its excellent tenacity.

Source: Although native to India and Pakistan, Palmarosa is also grown in Africa, Indonesia, Brazil and the Comoro Islands.

Skin care: Palmarosa is known as a quality skin care oil because of its antiseptic properties which make it useful for acne and many other minor skin infection, such as, dermatitis, scars and sores. It is valuable for all types of treatment for the face, hands, feet, neck and lips for moisturizing the skin.

Digestive system: Palmarosa oil is very active against bacteria responsible for intestinal infections such as Gastroenteritis.

Mixing oil: Palmarosa blends well with a number of oils, floral, citrus, and woody such as, Geranium, Rosewood, Sandalwood.
