Description

Origin: Birch buds were formerly used as a tonic in hair preparations. As early as the 12th century it was used for healing ulcers. In Scandinavia the young birch twigs are used in the sauna to tone the skin and promote the circulation. The sap is also tapped and drunk as a tonic.
